Thanksgiving is a great time to slow down and thank those around you –even if they were a positive or negative influence– and show a sign of appreciation. It is a day to push aside the negatives, the grudges, the fights, and appreciate what you have, with who you have.

Research done by Carnegie Mellon University in 2009 found that those who slept for eight hours on a regular basis were less likely to get a cold compared to those who slept for an average of seven hours. Those who slept for an average of less than seven hours were 3x more likely to get a cold.
